Happy Early New Year!

What a year it’s been, right?

For me, 2024 felt like setting my entire life on fire (figuratively), running away from home (literally), and starting over in a brand-new city.

With my kids officially grown and flown, I’ve experienced one of the hardest transitions of my life. We were so attached—practically joined at the hip—but it was time.

They were ready.

I was ready.

And while it hasn’t been easy, I feel proud of the bond we built that made it so hard to let go.

Burning It Down and Rebuilding

Moving to a new city and venturing out into the unknown was a step of faith.

But here’s the thing: I’d been preparing for this moment for years. I have the therapy receipts to prove it!

Choosing myself and creating the life I truly want has taken courage, a touch of “delulu” energy, and a whole lot of trust in the process.

And let me tell you—so far, the results are nothing short of amazing.

I’ve found a new community of women who truly get me. I’m stretching myself physically (hello, colder climate!), mentally, and emotionally.

I’ve essentially hit the reset button on my life.

Shedding the Old to Welcome the New

In rebuilding, I realized that much of what I’d built was rooted in fear, scarcity, and survival mode. So, I let it go—my old business, my blog of 15 years, and even some relationships.

I’m not taking any of it into the new year or the rest of my life. Why? Because the life I desire is built on ease, flow, abundance, and authenticity.

How I Got Here

This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It’s been years in the making:

  • 2021: I took a sabbatical to address burnout and reclaim my life.
  • 2022: I took another job, hoping to buy a house, but things didn’t pan out.
  • 2023: I quit my corporate job to finally prioritize healing—mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.

In the process, I:

  • Lost 55 pounds.
  • Worked with two coaching programs.
  • Launched my kids into adulthood.
  • Sold everything and relocated to start fresh.

My finances are recovering, my spirituality is deepening, and for the first time ever, I feel deeply connected to and in love with myself.

What About You?

This time of year, we all tend to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re going. If your past year has been marked by struggle, setbacks, and small wins, let me tell you something—you’re on the right track.

That’s how growth looks until you decide to make bigger, bolder changes.

Here’s the truth: life doesn’t change until you do.

When I decided to take an honest look at my life, dig deeper into therapy, embrace authenticity, release my kids, and move to a new city, everything shifted. Those choices transformed me into a happier, freer, and more fulfilled version of myself.

Your 2025

So, as you reflect on your past, present, and future, ask yourself:

  • Are you satisfied with the path you’re on?
  • Can you handle more of the same struggles and setbacks?
  • Or is it time for a massive overhaul of your life?

If you avoid making a decision, you’re actually deciding to let things stay the same. That means another carbon-copy year. Slogans like “Thrive in 2025” won’t change a thing unless you do.

So, what’s your deepest desire for 2025?

I hope you find the courage to face your truth, make a decision, and take action to create the life you truly want. The other side of growing pains is pure joy—if you’re willing to give yourself the gift of change.

Wishing you all the best and much success in 2025!

With love,
Samantha Gregory
