respect the bubble

Tomorrow I join hundreds of mom and dad bloggers at Atlanta’s Grand Hyatt hotel. It’s been years since I’ve attended. In fact, it was actually my first blogger conference and where I got a taste of what it means to be a professional blogger.

I made connections I still have today. It changed my world. That was in 2009 and here it is five years later, I’m going back as a speaker panelist. How cool is that?!?!

I admit that I’ve been procrastinating with the packing. I’ve been in my introvert cocoon after traveling all last week. I hit five different cities in five days. It was quite a new and exhausting adventure. The reason? I was the featured speaker for a Microsoft SharePoint Essentials seminar.

It was a stretch for me in terms of the length of time in front of an audience. We are talking a full day class (9-4). To say I was tired at the end of the day is an understatement. So maybe you can understand why I’ve been in my bubble for the last few days.

Going to Type-A-Parent conference will be great. I’ll meet old and new acquaintances. I’ll chat with brands. I’ll speak about my topic with a couple of other awesome ladies. I’ll share my book, No More Crumbs, at the Local Author and Crafter showcase.

After all is said and done I’ll probably have tons of business cards and new (and profitable) opportunities.

Then I’ll go home and climb into my introvert bubble for part 2 of my recovery.

Yay!!!
