This past weekend I spoke to over 200 single moms in two different session at the Arise Single Mom Conference. I traveled to Oklahoma City, OK to present my talk, Master Your Money Mindset: 6 Ways to Turn Up the Volume on Your Bank Account.
The ladies were receptive and engaged during the 45 minute session. This was my first major talk and first conference workshop that I’ve conducted. To say that God blessed is an understatement.
After each session several women came up to thank me for what I said and ask questions, shared their struggles and triumphs, and just wanted to say thanks.
I covered the following in my talk:
- Understand the only constant is change
- Subtract to multiply
- Explore the Money Cycle
- Recognize your absolute value
- Embrace your freedom of choice
- Attract wealth

I was also a vendor at the conference and was able to share my book, No More Crumbs, with several ladies who purchase it.
A conference would not be complete without making connections. I meet so many phenomenal women, including the organizers, Pam Kenalay and Shelley Pulliam. My heart was touched to watch how they poured their love out on all the single moms (over 700) there with gifts, grace, and gratitude. They even gave one blessed mom a new car!
I also met the woman who communicated with me throughout the pre-conference stages. Mary Beth was truly an angel to me. Her kindness, along with all the other women was overwhelming. If given the opportunity I would jump at the chance to be a part of this conference again next year.
