My experience includes contact Sr. Technical Writing/Editing and Technical Editing for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Compiling information for upper level program management reports was a part of my daily tasks. Coordinating input for critical path projects into Power Point presentations was also a part of my daily routine.
In addition to working in the Aerospace industry, I’ve worked in Energy sector (gas turbines and nuclear), computer data center, quality control, IT security, insurance, and local government. Each position required technical or business writing and editing.
Documentation Control has been a big part of my life for the last 10 years and I’ve become a sort of Microsoft SharePoint end-user guru. As more documents are created within corporate America the need to control the document creation and revision process increases. Companies also have to comply with ISO standards as well in order to maintain their certification.
Writing processes and procedures along with small user manuals and instructions is a valuable part of my skill set. I have training with video creation tools like Camtasia as well.
